9th Article from 2011 Results: Comparing tillage systems with Mississippi peanut yields
Mississippi State University conducted trials comparing strip tillage with conventional tillage on a site near Lucedale, MS.
Extension Specialist Mike Howell found that while yields were comparable (within 1%) when comparing strip tilling to conventional tilling (disc, then field cultivator, then do-all), the overall costs were 48.6% lower with strip till methods.
