Five Year Study of First 85% of Root Volume

The first 85 percent is the majority area of the corn plant’s root system that
obtains the water and nutrients throughout the growing season.
This long term study has shown over the past five years (2001-2005) the response of
the first 85% root growth in conventionally tilled corn has remained more shallow than
that of the Strip-Tilled corn which continues to progress deeper into the soil profile.
