March 16th, 2011 Checking our fields, twice!
On March 16th, 2011 Mike and team went out into the fields to check on how the residue and moisture is because it is time to consider that spring strip-till operation is upon us. Soil temps are cold and the soil moisture is very wet, a few more days of this weather and we will be getting after it.
Mike wanted us to say, soil samples taken? Fertilizer ordered? He just got that done here recently and felt the pangs of the big numbers going by the way of the check book.
The fall strip-tilled plots Mike told us today that they looked fantastic and it will be great planting into those plots come the end of April.
