11/13/2009 Good News with our strip-tilled Soybeans!

Today the lie detector (combine) finished the soybean trials and the yields were worth tooting a horn about. The study was carried out to compare some In-Furrow fertilization as to how two products and two rates at planting time would do. One product was a “Natural” product and the other commercial product. Soybeans were all Asgrow 3.1 beans, 110-114K population for final population. The Natural product low rate yielded 81 bpa, higher rate 83.7 bpa and the commercial grade product, lower rate 78.9 bpa and the higher rate 82.9 bpa. These soybeans branched very well and carried between 108 to 144 pods per plant. Happy beans we think!
