Last week on Thursday we awoke to 11 above and a dab of frost, snow from previous day’s snow showers. The guys were out strip-tilling for our fall strip-till comparison plots which will be ready for the 2012 season. Got the Deere GPS system up and running with A-B lines all set, field boundaries set, what else to set the stage.

In the picture the guys are working where there will be soybeans in 2012 after average yields of corn on corn of 192bu/acre this year.

Check out the articles section, we are posting our results from our research partners results as well as our own. This week we post the Strip-Till to No-Till comparison plot data in a one page document with Pioneer corn varieties. As of today 11/22/11 we posted data with the FBSciences results, then in coming days we will offer the variety trials with differing family root characteristics as well as yield information, followed up by soybean trials both irrigated and dryland. It is our desire that as you follow along with our Orthman Research Farm Precision Tillage System activities you will see that we did accomplish more for you this year in the Platte Valley of Nebraska.
