With a long winter, lots of snow, a wet spring and not enough sunny days it is a challenge to catch the right conditions to place nutrition and strip-till. We are sure that you are finding similar conditions.

The days of April 20 and 21, we loaded fertilizer products and got after it. Then as we were challenging the clouds on Thursday, they opened up and stopped all activity. Hmmmmmmm! We need one more good day, next week?
The Orthman Research Farm will be looking at numerous trials this year: weak vs. strong rooting type corn varieties, differing fertilizer application timings and amounts, nematode resistant varieties, seed coatings and day length. We have some fertilizer types and timing trials in soybeans this year. Please stop in and see us.
